Grand Valley Wine Tasting

Colorado wines are making a name for themselves, and over 18 wineries are located in Grand Valley. Start your winery tour just a few miles from RV Ranch, and enjoy the views of The Bookcliffs and Mount Garfield along the way. Most wine tastings are complimentary, and some wineries offer picnic grounds. You can tour by car, bicycle or guided limousine.

Festivals and Farmers Markets

Our area is well known for vineyards and fruit trees set beneath the stunning Bookcliffs as well as unique and lively festivals. Visit our farmers markets or roadside stands and taste right-off-the-tree produce. Come to Fruita or Palisade during one of their high-spirited festivals for extra fun and Grand Junction’s celebrations include the Country Jam USA Music Festival and Dinosaur Days.

Grand Junction

Stroll down Main Street between 2nd and 7th, and you’ll see why Grand Junction is known as the regional hub with a small town feel. The award winning Art on the Corner outdoor sculpture exhibit displays dozens of pieces from Western Colorado’s best artists. Browse through the unique shops, and then stay for dinner. Grand Junction’s Museum of Western Colorado, highlighting the “Real Wild West,” is another popular attraction.

Grand Mesa

A little known local gem, Grand Mesa is the largest flat-topped mountain in the world. When temperatures rise in the valley, the mesa’s 10,000-foot elevation keeps everything comfortably cool. Visitors enjoy its four-wheel drive back roads, fishing in over 300 pristine lakes, hiking and snow skiing. Just driving up for the view of the Continental Divide is a real treat! Grand Mesa is particularly beautiful in autumn when the aspens turn to gold.

Colorado National Monument

Famous for its spectacular red rock buttes and spires, Colorado National Monument offers a range of outdoor activities. Drive or bicycle the 23-mile Rim Rock Drive and take in the views. Hike on one of its dozens of trails. Sunset and sunrise are especially beautiful times. Be sure to stop by the Visitor Center for a map and learn about the park’s interesting geology.

Outdoor Sports: Golf, Hiking, Bicycling, Mountain Biking

Our area draws sports enthusiasts from around the world. Whether your passion is a great game of golf, a bike ride along a scenic back road, hiking or mountain biking, you can find enough outdoor activities to fill up months of leisure time. For more information:
